@rantingsteve at the risk of opening a can of worms, maybe it's a suggestion about something to think about? maybe today is a good day to meditate on grief, and feelings of betrayal from the past? what would you do differently if you could?
or is it important to remember that you have better boundaries and people in your life now who would never do that to you? that you have people who have your back in a good way?
or even don't let the jerks out there (there are always jerks) get you down?

@ischade you're probably onto something there. I'm not too concerned, because I found myself thinking about/talking about people from my past who betrayed me just yesterday, and while trying to move on after a year of processing that grief (and making progress in healing), but there's still lingering doubts and some self-blame to work through.

Also, a lot of what I'm trying to do with this new business venture is forcing me to confront past relationships.

Healing is a slow process.

@rantingsteve healing is a slow process, agreed.
people are often their own worst enemies. self doubt, fear of being judged, it's all terrifying.
the questions I ask people interviewing for work are about getting them to gush about themselves. it's usually way more terrifying for people than programming jeopardy. from what I know about you, you're pretty cool. you just can't always see it from where you are. don't hide from the things you wish to do better. but don't beat yourself up either. $0.005.
